Israeli theater skin pack beta 6.5 here: (2.08mb, in f4p format, need F4patch_skin_32 or above)

note: the file will be deleted in 1-2 weeks. you can use part or all of them as you wish.(credit: Viper skin by Basil, Flanker skin by Hornit). minor updating is expected in near future,

This pack is roughly prepared for enhancing the immerison of gameplay, Since its not a serious build, there could be lots errors concerning camo colors and patterns, anyway, hope this one can promote the gaming atmosphere and hold you till a serious skin pack available.

BTW, i hope we can add multiple vipers/ other a/c skins to simulate all sqadron camo in this theater, however it depends on inserting additional texture files(for more and more sq markings or camo), and TacEditing some campaign/TE files...probably take a couples of weeks?

many of them are mono desert camo, adequate for ODS, or ME.
now a problem comes to me, should we put the common desert camo skins in a pack for desert theaterS, then other additional packs for unique skins? if put them in a whole, the file size could be too big, too many overlappings, and waste HD space.

na..i am figuring the dir structure of desert camo skins like this:

folder: common desert theater skins
folder: iseralie theater-specific skins
folder: ODS-specific skins
etc.

so to save the overlapping files.

since skins are not the priority of theaters, dont waste your time on this thread. just for fun

Man i don't know if you know that but i'm really wating for your skins. it may not look like that its just i got so much on my head. you know school, building up the terrain and so on. but be sure in the close future i will start to hunt you down and bug you about the skins

forget my last post about skin dir...hmm, just stupid idea.

now i figure it out: the future of theater-specific skins will be sorted to two folders: "Original skins" and "All theater skins". very simple, and save as much as 1/2 download time(which you dl the orginals in every new release).
the key point is, like i proposed before, the new skins should use unique filenames in case of duplication, so all new skins could be put in a sinlge folder.
To switch theater-specific skin packs, i build several theater pack f4p files, in which they swap files exclusively of theater interest. ya, f4p picks those theater needs.
the result is a 4.18mb files to DL, which include Vietnam and Israeli skins in a single file. once installed, click to switch between two theater packs.

As for single vehicles dressed in various skins..we need creating new CT indexes. no idea...JimG?

PS: well, this new idea works great, especially for theater-specific skin makers, while remaining your choice to replace some of the skins. most of all, different skin packs can share common skins, like some desert camo skins used in all desert theaters.

ODS pack can be done in short time, so do others.

Now the conceptual theater skin pack will include file structure as:

your falcondir\f4patch\skins\theater\

*all original skins will be stored in skins\Orig\
*new skins in skins\theater\
*also some f4p files controlling batch swapping of skins in skins\theater\

I've sent major part of the theater pack to Shadow.

in caes you dont know, Viperwear releases many wonderful skins for IAF in recent days.

In the theater pack i compiled, i didnt include them yet. well, that doesnt mean i dont like VW skins.the reasons are:

1.you can edit a f4p to include vw skins, i've add some example in readme file.
2.i dont know if all you got those VW skins installed.
3.i dont know how vw nominate those filenames, its important, so we can re-direct skin-swapping to viperwear skin fold.

I've sent Original skins to Shadow, so you can get the full pack rock once he upload the file.

BTW, introduction of this pack here:
1.though a bit experimental, this pack represents my idea of "batch skin swapping", and my proposal of f4p dir layout. i've done some tests, and find this layout is the simplest.
2.i know many artists are working on theater skins, this one doesnt try to compete with others, it tends to be a propsal, and test sample. you guys want to test new mods should enjoy the feeling of " one click--and everything done", no more pick skins one by one from various folders.
3.Some of you probably dont like the skins in some packs, so, you can edit a f4p file to include your favorite skins. i've include the instructions in readme file. in this case, you can have various options like:
()Israel theater skins 1973-90
()Israel theater skins(John) 1973-80
()Israel theater skins(Tom) 1990-2000
4.i know, not many theaters available at this momenet, but i wrap some packs for fun. it includes:
()Vietnam skins 1968-72
()Israel skins 1973-90

()Europe (concept)
()Iceland (concept)
()Nevada (no skins yet)
()Operation Desert Storm 1991
