*.tdf Help

Post by FlaconPR » 2001-02-13 04:16:00

I need help with the tdf files. I don't have Linux and when I try to change my .e00 file to tdf I get a tdf file with 0 kb. If some one could help me I need the tdf for my Carribbean theater. I decided to jump to a 128 map. I need the following places:

Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, Jamaica, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and the Bahamas.

left_map_x = -84.00000000000
lower_map_y = 15.00000000000

I would really appreciate the help.

well I run Activestate6 Perl

put all *.e00 in the Perl/bin directory
(watch teh names...)
together with the scripts

run the scripts , under Windows Dos screen
not through start/RUN procedure(results in 0bytes for me)

Works fine for me

Let me know if it works

No go.

Dos tells me

Does DOS work with WIN PERL?

If you run DOS under Windows it does
Start/Programs/Ms-Dos Prompt

always start the line with perl

for instance

perl procppp.pl -range=40 -long=102.0 -lat=12.0 ROAD rdline.e00 >Vietnam-road.tdf

Ok, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but, I still get 0 bytes on the files even if I make them thou DOS. It worked on DOS but the Files I get are 0Bytes. I have Win ME, maybe that's the problem, But I can make the L2 with no problem.

So is that the working command line in MS-Dos prompt perl usage?

I could finally add that to the tutorial too, to have little more support Image

Mind the range value though
it is very confusing in the tutorial

(yet I forgot what was confusing about it.....)
